Megan A. Christensen is a Co-Founder of Faden Patel Christensen & Dalton PLLC and a federal income tax lawyer who advises clients on the tax rules that shape community development, impact investing and sophisticated financing transactions.
Megan advises taxable and tax-exempt clients on New Markets Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and investment tax credits, as well as Opportunity Zones, partnerships and limited liability companies, S corporations, nonprofit governance and tax-exempt status.
Her practice is particularly valuable in transactions where technical tax analysis must be integrated with financing documents, ownership structures and long-term business objectives. She also has experience with federal, state and local civil tax controversies, including audits and administrative appeals.
Before co-founding FPCD, Megan was a partner at Manatt and previously practiced at an international law firm. She has served as an adjunct professor at The George Washington University Law School, co-teaching taxation of partnerships and S corporations.
“Megan brings the tax analysis into the transaction early—so the structure is defensible, workable and understood by everyone at the table.”
